Very nice course. Greens true and undulating. Great views. Course was very quiet in May. Courtesy bus is a money saver if you don't have a car but they time your pickup so you arrive at the corse about 10 mins before your tee time so only a quick practice putt if you're lucky!

Everything was ok, stuff friendly and helpful, only thing is the booking could be mor efficient, 2x4 slow groups in front and a few 2 groups behind them. So we played after the 3rd hole with the 2 in front. There was no marshal on the course. Minus for the Tee positions,, mostly yellow was on blue, and the bunkers were in bad conditions. It was hard rain 4 days ago, but they did not work on the bunkers since there. Greens excellent for this conditions.

The staff was very friendly, and the views were fantastic. However, the golf course was very dry, the greens were ok. The sand bunkers, well, let’s just say there was no sand in them. The layout was funky, and I understand that this is a golf course on the top and side hill of a mountain on an island.

A tricky, challenging course in a beautiful setting.
Clube de Golf do Santo da Serra – in beautiful Madeira Island, where the first Portuguese sailors disembarked. Here, golf and nature live in perfect harmony. Santo da Serra golf club is a spectacular place to play a round of golf. Close to the sky almost touching the clouds, with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean This golf course is a typical mountain course, with immaculate tees and fairways and greens that are fast and undulated, perfect for various levels of play enabling straightforward, relaxing rounds as well as more challenging ones. The semi-roughs and roughs are also proof of the meticulous care given to the golf courses conditions. Santo da Serra is certainly a point of reference on the island of Madeira. The course is adorned with four beautiful lakes surrounded by trees offering shade from the shimmering Atlantic sunshine. (...)

Very nice course. Greens true and undulating. Great views. If you are a single you will have to make an effort to get paired up as they don't do that by default. Course was very quiet in May. Courtesy bus is a money saver if you don't have a car but they time your pickup so you arrive at the course about 10 mins before your tee time so only a quick practice putt if you're lucky!

We had problem with the transportation from the hotel. The driver said that only one person was ordered from Royal Savoy. He called Santo da Serra which confirmed one person . I said that 2 greenfees were paid, so transportation shoul be also for two. After a while they admitted their mistake but the car was full, so we were asked to wait another car. Luckily they changed their transportation plan and the same car came to pick up us. This was very bad experience for us because we thought that we are not able to play during that day.
All other thinf worked pretty well in Santo da Serra

Loved it
Porto Santo’s brand-new golf course stretches all the way across the island from dune-rolling beach to dramatic basalt cliffs. It offers that ideal combination - natural beauty and a challenging game. The layout was designed to blend in with the natural landscape, and immense care was taken to minimize impact on the environment. It features two distinct zones - a South Course in the American tradition, dotted with lakes and demanding a long, precise game; and a North Course played along spectacular cliff tops.|There is also a nine-hole 'pitch-and-putt' course of par-three holes (ideal for training precision shots), and a driving range. The clubhouse is a triumph of modern design, but blends harmoniously into the landscape, with its dry-stone walling, natural wood and hip wicker furniture. (...)

Very nice golf course specially the back nine design. The course was a bit dry but it's August so acceptable, overall green fee a bit high for low season and expensive rented clubs for the quality provided.

Friendly welcome. Must play for any golfer visiting the island. A pity they don't offer a pick up service from your hotel. They do at night for the restaurant.
